UAE e-invoicing: the 2027 deadlines and how to get your ERP ready

The UAE e-invoicing system uses the Peppol network: invoices move as structured data between Accredited Service Providers (ASPs), with tax data reported to the Federal Tax Authority. Under Ministerial Decision No. 66 of 2026, businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027, and everyone else on 1 July 2027. Future Focus Infotech helps finance teams check whether their accounting system or ERP can produce compliant e-invoices, and implements Yonyou ERP where an upgrade is the better route.

Official deadlines (Ministry of Finance)

  • Revenue AED 50 million or more: appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026; go live on 1 January 2027.
  • Revenue below AED 50 million: appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027; go live by 1 July 2027.
  • Government entities: appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027; go live from 1 October 2027.
  • Penalty: the FTA has stated an administrative penalty of AED 5,000 for each month, or part of a month, of delay, including failing to appoint an ASP on time.
  • Always confirm your own obligations on the Ministry of Finance and FTA websites. Rules have already been amended once in 2026.

How we help

Readiness check: we review how invoices are created today (ERP, Tally, Excel or a mix), the data fields you hold and where they fall short of the e-invoice data model.

Connect or upgrade: if your current system can connect to an Accredited Service Provider, we help you plan that. If it cannot, or your processes run on spreadsheets, we implement Yonyou ERP so invoicing, inventory and finance work in one system.

Data migration from Tally, QuickBooks, older ERPs or Excel, with parallel running before you switch.

Corporate Tax and VAT: we set up the chart of accounts, tax codes and reports your finance team and auditors need. We work alongside your tax adviser, not instead of them.

Frequently asked questions

When does UAE e-invoicing start?

Under Ministerial Decision No. 66 of 2026: businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must go live on 1 January 2027 (ASP appointment deadline 30 October 2026); businesses below AED 50 million must appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and go live by 1 July 2027; government entities go live from 1 October 2027.

What is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP)?

A provider approved by the UAE Ministry of Finance to exchange e-invoices over the Peppol network on your behalf and report tax data to the FTA. Your ERP or accounting system sends invoices to your ASP, and the ASP delivers them to your customer's ASP.

Can we keep using Tally or Excel?

Excel cannot issue compliant e-invoices on its own. Some accounting tools can connect to an ASP; whether that is enough depends on your volumes, data quality and how many entities you run. We check this in the readiness review and tell you honestly if an ERP upgrade is not needed.

What if we missed the 30 October 2026 ASP deadline?

Speak to your tax adviser and the FTA straight away, because penalties are charged per month of delay. Then appoint an ASP and prioritise getting invoice data ready for 1 January 2027.

How long does a Yonyou ERP implementation take?

It depends on modules, entities, users and integrations. After a short discovery we share a written plan with timeline and cost before any commitment.
